Frequently asked questions
What is commercial van insurance? Commercial van insurance is a type of van insurance that covers the extra risks of using your vehicle for work purposes. It ensures you're protected if something goes wrong while you're on the road. For specific details on what your policy covers, please check your policy documents.
A policy providing comprehensive cover not only provides you with insurance against damage caused to other parties, but also your own vehicle. This is true even in the event of a claim in which you are at fault. Though this could affect your no claims discount, some policies allow you to pay additional premiums to protect this bonus.
Fully comprehensive: protects you against third party claims and accidental damage to your van.
Third party only: covers damage your van may cause to another person or their property.
Third party fire and theft: adds protection for fire damage and theft to your van.

What is Fully Comprehensive Cover?
As an Expat getting a mortgage when you return home can be frustrating.
Expat mortgage lenders are our speciality and we have secured hundreds of mortgages for Irish abroad.
What does third party insurance cover me for?
Third party only insurance is the most basic of policies you can buy for your car. If the cause of the accident is determined to be your fault, you would be fully liable for all costs involving injury to other parties and/or damage to their property. This type of policy does not cover fire or theft damage.
Third Party, Fire and Theft Car Insurance?
As well as paying a higher value excess on your policy, there are a couple of other ways to reduce the cost of your premium. For example, getting a full licence, finding a car with a smaller engine or building up a 'No Claims Discount' are just some of the ways you could decrease your premium.
Can I claim back VAT on Van Insurance?:
No, VAT is not charged on your van insurance premiums, so you cannot claim it back.

What's the difference between van insurance and car insurance?
